Growing up around skate culture, I learned that skateparks are more than just a place to ride. They're where friendships are built, ideas are shared, and people learn to get back up after every fall. The Willard Skatepark was that place for me.
At the same time, I spent years working in the restaurant industry -- learning how food businesses operate from the ground up. Eventually I realized I wanted to build something of my own. Something that could bring positive energy to the community while giving people a healthier option.
The vision goes beyond just a smoothie shop. One of my goals is to take Melon Grab on the road with a smoothie trailer traveling to skateparks and skate events across Ohio -- supporting local skate scenes, highlighting talented skaters, and giving away merch, wheels, and boards.
Melon Grab isn't just a smoothie bar. It's a place for skaters, families, athletes, creators, and anyone chasing their next trick in life. Whether you're coming from the skatepark, the gym, work, or school -- Melon Grab is here to give you something real.
Skateboarding gave me friendships, creativity, and a sense of belonging. Melon Grab is my way of giving some of that back.
At the end of the day, I'm also building this for my three kids. I want them to see what it looks like to chase an idea, work hard for it, and create something meaningful.
Melon Grab Smoothie is about community, creativity, and opportunity -- and hopefully inspiring the next generation to chase their own dreams too.
